On Sunday 12th May, the Swansea Bowling Association played the Swansea Bowls Club in the annual John Jenkins fixture to commemorate and remember our dear friend John.
The game was played in warm sunshine and in the usual sportsman like atmosphere. Both teams were supported from the sidelines and the afternoon was enjoyed by all.
Swansea Bowls Club once again provided excellent hospitality with a post-match buffet and drinks.
The match resulted in a victory for Swansea Bowls Club by 106 shots to 76 shots.
We would like to extend our thanks to the clubs who provided rinks to represent the SBA namely; Clyne Valley, Dunvant, Coedgwilym, Pontardawe, Victoria Saints and Sketty Church. Thank you also to Dennis Richards, Gwyn Matthews, Peter Meehan & Alan Edwards for participating as a management rink.
It is planned for the 2025 John Jenkins Memorial Match to be held later in the season possibly August.
